Our collection comprises a fleet of houseboats navigating the Chobe River, which forms the natural border between Namibia and Botswana, adjacent to the wildlife-rich Chobe National Park. We also offer a land-based river safari lodge for those who prefer to stay on solid ground.

Founded by conservationist Adrian Gardiner in 2000, Mantis began with a vision to restore and rewild degraded farmland into a thriving private game reserve. This initiative marked the beginning of eco-tourism in South Africa’s Eastern Cape and showcased how humans and nature could coexist sustainably.
