Booking & Confirmation Policy +
- Provisional reservations will be held for a maximum of 14 days; thereafter, they will be automatically released
- Any discrepancies on the confirmation or invoice must be addressed with the reservations team within 7 days of issue
- Credit card payments are not accepted for tax invoices issued to tour operators or travel agents. All bank charges are for the account of the tour operator or travel agent

Group bookings of 6 or more tents at Ichingo Chobe River Lodge are required to reserve the lodge on an exclusive-use basis.

All reservations are subject to availability and will be confirmed once payment has been received in accordance with the applicable property’s payment terms and conditions.

Reservations made less than 60 days prior to arrival require full pre-payment at the time of booking.

Any discrepancies on the confirmation or invoice must be addressed with the Zambezi Queen Collection Reservations team within 7 days of issue.

Once confirmed, guests will receive a booking confirmation via email, which serves as proof of reservation. No physical goods or services are delivered.

The Zambezi Queen Collection reserves the right to move guests between its houseboats for operational reasons; where applicable, guests will be refunded the difference in rate
Travel Insurance +
Travel insurance is a requirement for all guests and must be purchased prior to travel. Travel insurance must be comprehensive and cover full air evacuation and repatriation, in the unlikely event of an emergency.

FIT (1–7 pax):
- 30% deposit due within 7 days of invoice date
- 70% balance due 60 days prior to arrival
Group (8–20 pax):
- 10% deposit due within 7 days of invoice date
- 40% deposit due 180 days prior to arrival
- 50% balance due 60 days prior to arrival
Exclusive Use Bookings (21–28 pax):

Chobe Princess & Ichingo Chobe River Lodge
FIT (1–7 pax):
- 30% deposit due within 7 days of invoice date

Group (8–16 pax):

- 40% deposit due 120 days prior to arrival
- 50% balance payment due 60 days prior to arrival
Tour Series (minimum of 8 pax for 3 or more trips per year):

Cancellation Policy +
The provision of accommodation and services by the Zambezi Queen Collection is subject to availability. In the event that a confirmed reservation cannot be honoured due to circumstances beyond our control, the client will be offered alternative accommodation within the Collection or refunded in full within 30 days.
Zambezi Queen
- Only written cancellations will be accepted. An acknowledgement of the cancellation will be sent by the reservations department
- The Zambezi Queen reserves the right to release bookings if payment is not received by the requested date
FIT (1–7 pax):
- 30% fee applies if cancellation is made less than 120 days prior to arrival
- 100% fee applies if cancellation is made less than 60 days prior to arrival
Group (8–20 pax):
- 10% fee applies if cancellation is made less than 240 days prior to arrival
- 50% fee applies if cancellation is made less than 180 days prior to arrival
- 100% fee if cancellation is made less than 60 days prior to arrival
Exclusive Use Bookings (21–28 pax):

Chobe Princess & Ichingo Chobe River Lodge

- 100% fee applies if cancellation is made less than 60 days prior to arrival
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed using the original method of payment, subject to any applicable administration fees or bank charges.
Single Supplement Policy +
Maximum Number of Single Travellers Per Property
Zambezi Queen: 3 singles per sailing
Chobe Princess 1: 2 singles per sailing
Chobe Princess 2: 1 single per sailing
Chobe Princess 3: 1 single per sailing
Ichingo Lodge: 2 singles per night
Please note that single occupancy rates are subject to limited availability per trip. Below are the minimum charges applicable for enquiries requesting single occupancy of an entire boat or lodge, or when guests do not utilise all rooms.
Zambezi Queen minimum charge for exclusive use:
11 suites on double occupancy + 3 suites on single occupancy (for up to 25 guests)
Chobe Princess minimum charge for exclusive use:
Chobe Princess 1: 3 cabins on double occupancy + 2 cabins on single occupancy (for up to 8 guests)
Chobe Princess 2: 3 cabins on double occupancy + 1 cabin on single occupancy (for up to 7 guests)
Chobe Princess 2: 3 cabins on double occupancy + 1 cabin on single occupancy (for up to 7 guests)
Ichingo Chobe River Lodge minimum charge for exclusive use:
6 tents on double occupancy + 2 tents on single occupancy (for up to 14 guests)
Operational Disruption Policy +
In the unlikely event that a guest’s stay is affected by an unforeseen technical or mechanical issue at one of our properties, the Zambezi Queen Collection is committed to managing the situation swiftly, transparently and with the guest’s comfort as our priority.
Clear and Timely Communication
Guests and, where applicable, their travel agent will be informed as soon as possible. Our team will act promptly to minimise disruption and ensure the best possible outcome.
Alternative Arrangements
Subject to availability and guest preference, one of the following options will be offered:
- Relocation to a comparable or higher-value property
All reasonable costs associated with the relocation, including transfers and any rate difference, will be covered by the Zambezi Queen Collection.
- Rescheduling of the stay
The booking may be moved to a future date at no additional cost, subject to availability.
- Refund
A refund of any pre-paid accommodation amounts relating to the affected portion of the stay may be provided.
Scope of Responsibility
Once an alternative solution has been agreed and confirmed, the Zambezi Queen Collection is unable to accept responsibility for any further costs or claims, including indirect or consequential expenses not directly related to the booking.

- Export Restriction: The offering on this website is available to South African and international clients.
- Customer Privacy Policy: Zambezi Queen Collection by Mantis shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “Personal Information” shall be defined as detailed in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
- Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency: The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
- Responsibility: Zambezi Queen Collection by Mantis takes responsibility for all aspects relating to transactions concluded on this website, including the accuracy of accommodation and service descriptions, the processing of reservations, customer service and support, and the facilitation of dispute resolution. The Collection is also responsible for ensuring that guests receive the accommodation, activities, and services booked, in line with the terms and conditions applicable to each property.
- Country of Domicile: This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Zambezi Queen Collection by Mantis chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature 4 Silverwood Close, Unit 1, Steenberg Business Park, Tokai, South Africa, 7945.
- Variation: Zambezi Queen Collection by Mantis may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
