In the most simple way to summarize the experience… a dream come true! We stayed on the Chobe Princess 1, the crew was so friendly and welcoming! They were helpful in every aspect, whether answering simple questions we had about the wildlife or pointing out wildlife we missed with our own eyes. The food was absolutely world class, each dish prepared with love, Chef Jane can curate some incredible dishes. The room was spacious, luxurious and always clean. We’ve been gone two weeks but are already planning a return! Thank you Tuta, Mike, Robert, Chef Jane and the ZQ Collection staff for everything you have done for us! 1 million out of 10 would recommend!

A flawless, slow-paced safari experience directly from the water Spending two nights on the Chobe Princess was a fantastic and completely new way to experience a safari. Drifting slowly along the Chobe River gives you a front-row seat to the wildlife right from the comfort of the houseboat. During the day, the boat moves along the river channels (depending on the season and water levels), and at night, it moors securely at the riverbank. The service, cleanliness, and meals are excellent, and everything is fully inclusive. We were extremely lucky as only two out of the maximum five cabins were occupied during our stay, which gave us an incredible amount of space and flexibility. The game-viewing excursions on the smaller tender boats are outstanding, allowing you to get incredibly close to the hippos, buffaloes, and crocodiles along the banks. Our Travel Tip: Everything on board is included—even the gin and tonics. Unless you insist on a specific European imported gin, just stick to the local African brands. They are excellent, and honestly, who needs European gin when you are experiencing a perfect African sunset on the water?

My stay aboard the Chobe Princess was, without question, one of the best experiences I’ve had in Southern Africa. From the moment we stepped onboard, the accommodations were outstanding, comfortable, well-appointed, and perfectly designed to take in the surrounding landscape. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the exceptional level of service. The crew struck that rare balance of being attentive without ever feeling intrusive, and every detail felt thoughtfully handled. The food was equally impressive, consistently high quality, varied, and far beyond what you might expect on a river cruise. And then there’s the game viewing. One moment, in particular, stands out as something I’ll never forget. During a lunch stop along the river, we were fortunate enough to witness what can only be described as extraordinary, over the course of about an hour and a half, somewhere between 300 and 400 elephants, in different herds, made their way to the water to drink. Watching that many elephants move through the landscape, interact, and gather at the river was nothing short of breathtaking. It’s the kind of experience you hope for but never quite expect to actually happen. The Chobe Princess delivers on every level, comfort, service, cuisine, and wildlife. It was absolutely worth the stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone considering a river cruise in the region.

We just finished a 2 night cruise on the Chobe Princes III (20th-22nd April 2026) and had the most wonderful time. Every detail was accounted for and so much thought had gone into everything. The food by chef Edgar was incredible and much thought had gone into my vegetarian options, which I am so grateful for. Given and his crew were just fantastic. We cannot rate them highly enough. They were all very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. This was an experience we will never forget and never stop talking about. Thank you to everyone who made it unforgettable. Highly recommend this wonderful Chobe River cruise. Wildlife viewing was incredible - front row seats to a pride of lions fighting over a monitor lizard in a tree on the waters edge...and the hospitality and comfort was top-drawer. Should be an add on to any travels to the region, for sure!
